Louis Vasi began his career mastering the art of hardwood floor sanding, refinishing, and installation under the mentorship of Russell Basterfield. Over more than a decade, Lou developed the expertise, precision, and work ethic that would become the foundation of his own company. In 1984, with the support and endorsement of his mentor, he established Louis Vasi Floor Sanding—built on a reputation for excellence and attention to detail.
In 1998, Lou’s son, Michael Vasi, joined the business, learning every aspect of the craft from the ground up. Through years of hands-on experience and dedication, Michael carried forward the same standards of quality and integrity that defined his father’s work.
In 2025, Lou proudly passed the business on to Michael, marking a new chapter in a family legacy rooted in tradition and elevated by modern expertise.
